We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community for everyone. We are committed to making a positive impact in our community.
This is what YUSS has been doing to connect with and give back to our community.

The theme for this year was 'Give to Gain' highlighting the idea that when we generously share our time, knowledge and support, everyone benefits. The campaign encouraged individuals, businesses and communities to contribute in meaningful ways to help advance gender equality and create positive change for women and girls. We were happy to support this important cause by donating a raffle prize, helping raise awareness and contributing to a community event that celebrated the achievements, strength and impact of women.

It was a huge honour for me to be asked to MC the International Day of People with Disability Celebration held at the Nicholas Street Precinct in Ipswich. This community event was all about celebrating inclusion, connection, and the incredible strength of our community. It was a wonderful day and the community really came together. There was also really great feedback from attendees and stall holders who made comments about looking forward to the event next year.

Janelle's Pink Ribbon Breakfast is always a treat (pun intended)! Janelle puts together an incredible morning filled with delicious food and fantastic prizes donated by local businesses. We were proud to support her fundraising efforts once again this year and celebrate her success in exceeding her $2,000 fundraising target, raising an impressive total of $2,610. Janelle's dedication is truly inspiring, and it's no surprise she continues to exceed her goals year after year.

It was an absolute pleasure to sponsor the Professional Services Award again at the 2025 Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Marquee Business Awards. We take pride in supporting other local businesses in our community and sponsoring an award is a small way in which we can help cheer on our peers and champion their business achievements.

As the Director of YUSS, I believe it's important to support our team, especially when they're raising funds for causes that make a real difference in people's lives. I was proud to join Janelle on an afternoon walk to contribute to her 56km goal, of course she surpassed that with a total of 145.4km. YUSS also contributed the remaining $185 to ensure she reached her fundraising target of $2,000. I'm incredibly proud of the passion, dedication, and community spirit our team members bring to the causes they care about.

We hosted our first Biggest Morning Tea event. We partnered with Ninja Allied Health who provided the space for the event. Ungermann Brothers supported us by loaning us their bain maries to keep our food hot. We provided raffle prizes along with some other local business and we gave our left over food to the Ipswich City Council and the staff at the Ipswich Food Bank. We are also very proud to have reached our fundraising target of $1,000.00. We would like to extend our thanks to all the people who came along to support our event and a special thanks to Mayor Theresa Harding who took time out of her day to pop in and say hi.

In October we decided to say FROCK OFF to CANCER!!
While supporting the Go Pink Luncheon we were also undertaking the 30-day Frock Challenge - and yes we even got to do Halloween!
The current five-year survival rate of Ovarian Cancer is 49%, making it the most lethal reproductive cancer. The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation is funding vital medical research across early detection prevention and treatment is the only way to improve outcomes for women, girls and their families, everywhere.

The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce hosted the Mater Chicks in Pink, Go Pink Luncheon. It was a privilege to be able to sponsor this event and provide a raffle prize to help the Chamber raise funds for this very worthy cause, Brest Cancer. This disease has impacted a very dear friend of mine who shows strength and resilience and fundraisers every year. Watching her LIVE inspires me every day.

This year we are excited to be sponsoring an award for the first time at the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Marquee Business Awards. We have been a member of the Chamber since 2023 and are proud to be in a position to give back to the Chamber and support them to continue supporting and championing other small businesses in our local area.

We are proud to be supporting another small business in our local area, The Skin Sanctuary at Brookwater. They are supporting Chicks in Pink by hosting a special screening of the movie Bridesmaids for the ultimate girls night out, with lots of raffle prizes to be won. The message of the event is "CHECK YOUR BOOBS" a great motto that we all need to remember and remind our loved ones about!!

We are unable to attend the event due to other commitments but we are very pleased to provide support in a small way by donating a raffle prize to help the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce raise much needed funds for the amazing Packed with Care Foundation. "At The Packed with Care Foundation, we do things differently, we are more than a charity, we are a partner in life’s hardest moments. We know every situation is unique, and that’s why we take the time to create care packages and strategies that meet real, individual needs."
