At YUSS we are here to provide you with the support and resources that you need to thrive in your community. You will have a dedicated Support Coordinator who will work with you to implement and optimise your NDIS Plan.

Your YUSS Support Coordinator will:

tailor our service to your needs
stay in regular contact with you to help you use your plan
work with you to find and implement the services you need
research service providers and provide you with options
assist with provider service agreements
assist with budgeting of engaged services

Your YUSS Support Coordinator will also work with you to prepare for your review meetings with the NDIS.

How do I know if I can have a Support Coordinator?

There is a special budget in your plan for Support Coordination. You will find this budget under the Capacity Building section of the plan and it is called Support Coordination and Recovery Coaching.

How does a Support Coordinator get paid?

Once the Support Coordinator has done work for you, they will generate an invoice and send it the appropriate place for payment - this will depend on how the Support Coordination budget is managed in the plan (NDIA, Plan or Self Managed).

Can I change Support Coordinators?

Yes, you can change support coordination providers at any time.

You should have a service agreement with the support coordination provider, you will need to check that to see what notice period you need to provide. You can also request that they end services sooner, which they may be able to accommodate (this may depend on what work they are i the middle of and when they release the invoices in their system).

They must release the funds at the end of the notice period at the very latest - if they don't, you should notify your NDIS Contact as soon as possible.
