Tina - Director
Background:
I started YUSS because I wanted to do more!! I believe that the NDIS is a great scheme that can really help people - but it can also be very confusing to understand and that's why YUSS is here. I want to build a team of passionate people who enjoy coming to work, who want to help out others and who want to be part of giving back to our community.
Disability Sector Experience:
5+ years and lived experience through friends and family.
Pets:
1 cat.
Favourite Food:
Potato Bake, anything potato based really.
Favourite Sports Team:
Port Adelaide - AFL.
FIONA - MANAGER
Background:
I really enjoyed being a support coordinator. I started in this industry about 8 years ago as a support worker and have worked my way up, gaining lots of hands-on experience and knowledge along the way. The best part of my job is getting to see people achieve their goals, no matter how small, as it really puts a smile on their faces and the pride they feel in themselves is invaluable.
Disability Sector Experience:
I have 17 years of personal experience managing my eldest child’s support needs. I was a support worker for 5 years, an aged care case manager for 1 year and a support coordinator for 2 years. I come from a finance background and really love to dig into budgets.
Pets:
We have 1 dog, 3 chickens and 1 duck.
Favourite Book:
I don’t have just one, I am waiting to read the newest book from JD Robb – I think it is book 58 or 59 in the series and I love them all.
