Tina - Director
Background:
I started YUSS because I wanted to do more!! I believe that the NDIS is a great scheme that can really help people - but it can also be very confusing to understand and that's why YUSS is here. I want to build a team of passionate people who enjoy coming to work, who want to help out others and who want to be part of giving back to our community.
Disability Sector Experience:
5+ years and lived experience through friends and family.
Pets:
A beautiful fluffy cat called Diana (yes she is definitely royalty!!).
Favourite Food:
Potato Bake, anything potato based really.
Favourite Sports Team:
Port Adelaide - I grew up in a small country town in South Australia and the Port Adelaide SANFL team did a workshop at our school before Port Adelaide joined the AFL.
Vera - admin / plan manager Assistant
Background:
As a dedicated and passionate professional, I bring 10 years of experience in the allied health sector and over 10 years of person personal experience supporting loved ones with mental health. My unique blend of professional expertise and personal understanding informs my approach to delivering compassionate, individualised support. I am committed to advocating for inclusivity, accessibility, and empowerment within the disability sector, and to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Pets:
A poodle named Shadow.
Favourite Food:
I’m a pasta enthusiast – Boscaiola is my weakness.
Favourite Movie:
I’m a self-confessed Horror movie buff (IT is my go-to!).
Amber - senior support coordinator
Background:
With over 15 years of experience in the community and disability sector, I bring both professional expertise and real-life understanding to the work I do. I hold a Diploma in Community Services (Case Management), Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, and I’m a qualified Sandplay Therapist. I’m currently completing a Diploma in Counselling to continue deepening how I support people with clarity, compassion, and care.
Disability Sector Experience:
I understand both sides - having supported family members informally and knowing what it takes to support others professionally.
Favourite Movie:
P.S. I Love You will always be my favourite, I still cry every time. The mix of grief, love, humour, and healing makes it feel real and deeply human.
Favourite Sports Team:
Collingwood. I grew up in country Victoria with a football-obsessed family, so supporting the Pies was part of life.
