What is NDIS Mentoring?
Often you get your NDIS Plan and you haven't been given funding for a Support Coordinator (SC) and you can't get in contact with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) - you feel stuck...
An NDIS Mentor can help you understand the NDIS terminology and what's been included in your NDIS Plan.

Here are some of the things that we may be able to help with:

- reviewing your budgets to make sure you will get through to the end of your plan
- advice on finding new providers and what to ask for
- assistance with ideas on what you can spend your funding on
- assistance with goal setting
- assistance with plan review preparation

Yes, this can be covered by your NDIS funding. There are several budgets that this can fall under:
- CORE - Assistance with Daily Life
- CAPACITY BUILDING - Mentoring, Peer Support and Individual Skill Development
- CAPACITY BUILDING - Development of Daily Living and Life Skills
Sometimes you just need a bit of extra help, particularly when you have not been funded for a Support Coordinator.
If you have a Support Coordinator, you don't need an NDIS Mentor as you already have someone who is supporting you.
If you have a Plan Manager, you may not need an NDIS Mentor. Some Plan Managers are great and really supportive with helping you and answering your questions.
Yes, you can.
You can have them for a short time or as long as you need.
Maybe you just need help with changing providers, an NDIS Mentor can come in and help you through the process, and that's it. This may only take 3-4 hours.
Maybe you would like help with your NDIS Plan Review Meeting, and NDIS Mentor can help you gather the evidence and reports that you need, assist you with submitting the review paperwork and be with you to support you through the review meeting. This may take more hours over 3-4 months.
